Champagne Piper-Heidsieck

The House

In 1785, Florens-Louis Heidsieck created the first cuvée of the Piper-Heidsieck House. With a grand history, the House has been synonymous with quality, culture, boldness and style. From the outset, Piper-Heidsieck received royal support of Queen Marie Antoinette and, throughout time, has garnered favor among, and been celebrated by the best in the art, fashion and design worlds.

From Carl Fabergé – the Russian Tsar’s personal jeweler – to fashion icons Jean Paul Gaultier and Christian Louboutin, among others, Piper-Heidsieck’s commitment to creativity is evident in its ongoing collaborations with some of the world’s most renowned artists.

One of the most awarded champagnes, Piper-Heidsieck benefits from the expertise of celebrated winemaker, Régis Camus. Camus was recently named "Sparkling Winemaker of the Year" at the 2013 International Wine Challenge in London.

This marks the eighth time the Cellar Master has received this award, and the seventh consecutive year he has received this honor. Piper-Heidsieck remains one of the eponymous region’s most outstanding wines, and is the only non-vintage champagne to earn a spot on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 list of 2012.

Charles Heidsieck Champagne

The House

Charles Heidsieck was founded in 1851 by the inimitable Charles-Camille Heidsieck. A true pioneer, Charles Heidsieck is widely recognized for introducing champagne to the United States in the years leading up to the Civil War and was given the nickname "Champagne Charlie" by the American newspapers of the time.

An early believer in extended periods of aging on the lees, Charles Heidsieck was among the first to purchase Gallo-Roman chalk cellars. In a bottle inspired by one of the chalk galleries - Crayère no9 - Charles Heidsieck Brut Réserve is remarkable due to the inclusion of 40% reserve wines and a minimum three years’ aging in these rare cellars before release.

Thierry Roset, appointed Chef de Cave in 2012, has forged his loyalty to the House for over 25 years. His vision, creating "wines that are like an open book but which offer complexity and depth".
