Cider Sale

Cider is the crowd-pleaser that works in any weather.

We’re so excited about our selection, we’re putting it on sale to introduce it to our customers.

Zapiain
Zapiain is golden yellow, with a soft acidity and striking minerality. The inclusion of some French and European apples make this fruit-forward Spanish cider more balanced and delicate than its intense Asturian cousins. Unfiltered and not sparkling, this is a classic Basque sidra (AKA Sagardoa) that pairs with tapas, chorizo, or the end of a long day.

Slyboro Hidden Valley Cider
Cider from historic, hearty Northern Spy apples blended with ecologically-grown Liberty apples grown at Hicks Orchard, a family farm in the Adirondack foothills and New York’s oldest U-Pick orchard. Clean, crisp, aromatic and refreshingly smooth, like a ripe apple just picked from a tree. Serve chilled. 8% alc/vol 2.5% residual sugar. https://www.winfieldflynn.com/wines/Slyboro-Hidden-Star-Hard-Cider-w2465433is

Manoir du Kinkiz, Cidre Cornouaille (2014)
This French cider is one of our favorites. Kinkiz’s Cornouaille AOP cider has a deep golden color, and is very aromatic. It is rich, mildly bitter-sweet, and leaves the mouth pleasantly refreshed. While it is thirst quenching, it is an astonishing food partner. 5.5% ABV vol., naturally sparkling 100% pure juice.

Basque Cider, Hur Astarbe, Byhur (2012)
A Basque cider that’s just a touch funky earth and refreshing. This sparkling (alcoholic) cider has a beautiful golden hay color and a fresh, green apple taste and is slightly less aggressive on the tongue than cava.

Eden Cider
Eden Heirloom Ice Cider (half bottle) - Eden Honeycrisp Ice Cider (half bottle) - Eden Northern Spy Ice Cider (half bottle)
These half bottles of ice cider are a great way to end a meal. Try them with apple pie and ice cream and amaze your guests. If you’re looking for an alternative to more expensive dessert wines, look no further.  Each bottle leverages a different type of apple---Northern Spy, local favorite Honeycrisp, or a blend (Heirloom).

‘Grohsecco’ Weidmann and Groh Sparkling Apple Cider
This German cider-maker’s answer to Prosecco—a friendly, slightly chunkier cider with a spritz to it. At this price? back up the truck.

‘Nizza’ Weidmann and Groh Sparkling apple cider
A far more elegant sparkling cider than the entry-level Grohsecco—this could give a lot of more expensive sparkling wines a run for the money. You never knew cider could be so classy!

Weidmann & Groh, Speireling (2014) 1 Liter Bottle
The heart of Weidman & Groh’s “Speierling” is actually not an apple, but a close relative, the speierling fruit, which comes from the rowan tree and is harvested early before it has time to fully ripen. Weidman & Groh have made it a centerpiece of this cider. The result is a beautiful, wine-like, non-sparkling cider that holds its own against riesling as the perfect pairing for spicy food. Keeps well in the fridge and tastes great the next day!
