We are extremely proud to present our very own Wilderness Trail Winfield Flynn Private Select 4.83 Year Old Single Barrel Bourbon. 100% distilled, aged, and bottled at Wilderness Trail Distillery in Danville Kentucky, our release follows the rich, spicy and freshening profile that is the hallmark of the distillery and increases it tenfold. The mash bill is 64 percent corn, 24 percent rye and 12 percent malted barley using proprietary yeast strain FermPro 1. The juice first entered the cooper select, was then toasted and ISC #4 Char barrel at 110 proof after coming off the still around 137 proof. This exceptional whiskey was aged and matured on the Danville 168-acre campus inside Rickhouse A-N7-E9.
The whiskey hits the palace with the silky smoothness of ambrosia, perfectly balancing the spice from the rye with the rich maltiness of the corn. We tasted through several barrel samples, each of which was even more fantastic than the last, before we selecting this diamond.
